What We Need From You To Quote Accurately
Two rooms of the same size can carry very different prices. These are the things that actually move the number, in the order they matter.
- The real area. Length and width in feet for each room. The rate per sqft falls as the total area grows, so a corridor and a warehouse are not priced the same way.
- What is on the floor now. Bare concrete, tiles, marble, an old coating or vinyl. Removal and preparation are often the largest single line in a quotation.
- The condition of the slab. Cracks, hollow tiles, unevenness, damp patches, efflorescence or a floor that has never been damp-proofed. Most resin floor cracking starts in the concrete underneath, so this is what we look at first.
- How the space is used. Foot traffic, trolleys, forklifts, dropped tools, standing water, cleaning chemicals, oils. This decides whether you need a coating, a self-levelling slurry or a heavy-duty screed.
- Light and sunlight. Direct sun through glazing or a skylight means a UV-stable topcoat should be specified, and that changes the material cost.
- Edges and details. Coving, skirting, thresholds, stair nosings, drains and columns are slow, hand-worked areas and they are counted individually.
- Access and working hours. Upper floors without a lift, live retail units, night-only working or a site shared with other trades all add time to the programme.
- Your city and your dates. Where a site needs a crew to travel, mobilisation is included in the quotation, and we schedule that work as one continuous visit wherever we can.

Usually the same working day, Monday to Saturday. If the project is clear enough we will give you an indicative range straight away so you know whether it is worth going further.

We agree a time to visit
The inspection takes under an hour for a house and longer for a factory. You do not need to prepare anything or move furniture for it.

Free site inspection
We measure the area, examine the slab, check for cracks and rising moisture and discuss the finish in the actual light of the room. Where moisture is present we specify a moisture-tolerant primer or barrier system so the floor performs long term.

Fixed written quotation
The system, the preparation, the thickness, the topcoat, the return-to-service times and the price, itemised. Take as long as you like with it. Nothing is committed until you tell us to start.
